American Encore Opposes Lame Duck Spending

American Encore has proudly joined a coalition of 32 other organizations in opposition to appropriations bills in the upcoming lame duck session of Congress.  Senators and Representatives who have been rebuked by the voters and are on their way out the door should not decide the spending levels of the government or be given a chance to extend corporate welfare to favored groups.  The current Congress should responsibly fund the government into 2017 before the election while they are still subject to the scrutiny of the voters.
