DC Statehood

It's clear to all Americans that the Democrat Party of today is not the Democrat Party of yesterday. This party is intent on imposing their radical agenda on the rest of the country, enshrining far-left policies for the rest of our nation's history. They will not stop until they are finished.

One of the easiest paths to accomplishing this mission for the Democrats is to give statehood to the District of Columbia (D.C.). Democrats have been attempting to pass D.C. statehood for years but have been stymied by the Constitution and by a lack of votes in the U.S. Congress. However, that reality could change very quickly if a divided U.S. Senate and House move a few seats in the Democrats' direction, allowing them to finally get this objective over the finish line.

No one should be surprised about the Democrats' desire to add D.C. as a state. This district is a reliable voting bastion for the left, with approximately 90% of the votes going toward Democrat presidential candidates every four years. Not only would the electoral votes from D.C. go to the Democrat candidate, but its U.S. House member and two U.S. Senators would also join the Democrat caucus. Two more Democrat Senators could spell the end of any chance Republicans might have had to retake control of the chamber and maintain a balance of power. Additionally, even if D.C. only had one U.S. House member, that could very well tip the scales in the chamber to the Democrat Party.

If D.C. achieved statehood, as Democrats dream about, the left would have 1000% certainty for its electoral votes, U.S. Senate seats, and U.S. House representation. They might then have absolute control of the trifecta of government, free from the filibuster, to enact their complete agenda on the nation - Green New Deal, Medicare for All, Amnesty and Citizenship for illegal aliens, high tax increases for many Americans, and much more.

This November, much is at stake, including stopping the Democrats' quest for D.C. Statehood. When you step into the voting booth, or fill out your early ballot at home, know that your selections for President and U.S. Senate will have implications for many years of our nation.
